Fort Stanton to offer free admission for New Mexicans affected by fires
We are #alltogethernm, and Fort Stanton Historic Site wants to do its part to help New Mexicans who have been impacted by the devastating fires burning in the state.
The New Mexico Department of Cultural Affairs (NMDCA) is offering free admission to each of the agency’s 15 museums and historic sites for residents impacted by the wildfires burning in the state as well as first responders and their families.
Through the end of June, residents of Colfax, Mora, San Miguel, Valencia, and Lincoln counties will be permitted to visit every NMDCA facility free of charge simply by presenting proof of residency (valid ID, etc.). First responders involved with emergency work (firefighters, police, medical personnel, national guard troops, etc.) will also be able to visit for free by mentioning their role. These tickets will only be available in-person at NMDCA’s museum and historic sites, and this statewide initiative will be in place until June 30, 2022.
