Held annually on the second Saturday in July, it brings costumed interpreters from the Civil War and Indian Wars era to the Fort for demonstrations, presentations, and concerts. Activities Include Cavalry, Infantry, and Artillery Demonstrations (no cannons or cap guns will be fired), Authors, Speakers, Tours, Old-Time Games for Kids, Concessions, and Live Entertainment.
Additionally, the event brings authors, historians, photographers, artists, and various historical vendors to the site to share their crafts and other handiwork. Local food vendors are also on hand to provide sustenance for your day at the Fort, so bring a healthy appetite for knowledge, food, and fun.
